Ocean

Ocean refers to the watery area between continents. Oceans are very big and ay connect smaller seas together. It is okay to speak of the ocean as the single body of water because all named "oceans" are connected. Oceans are made of salt water. There are five main oceans.

Oceans are the opposite of continents: in alternate universes ay may go above land and host new civilizations.
