Volume

From Wikipedia

The volume of an object describes how much physical space it takes up using the three dimensions of width, depth, and height.

The term volume can be used to describe real things like boxes, lakes, and buildings. All of ase things have width, depth, and height.

Volume can also mean loudness (amplitude), for example, in the volume control on computers and televisions which lets you tell the unit how loud you want its sound to be.
