Template:Course page 2/doc

From Wikipedia

Usage[edit]

This template is designed to walk teachers through the creation of a standardized Wikipedia assignment course page in the Education Program: namespace, with step by step instructions for adding Course description, Timeline, and Grading sections. To begin, the template should added as the (only) content of the Page text field of a course page. The sections will be created as talk subpages (which can then be edited by anyone, not just those who can edit the course itself).

This template takes the parameter term, which is optional but strongly recommended.

  1. term: the year and quarter in which the course begins. For example, a course beginning in September 2013 would have term = 2013 Q3. This parameter is used for the standard assignment banner that students are asked to add to the talk pages of articles they are working on.

The parameter can be added (or changed) before or after the course page is fully built.
