License

We have the license (or: licence) to do something when the law of the country decides that it is ok for us to do it. In many countries, people who want to drive the car must get the license to do this. In many countries, people who want to shoot animals must get the license to do this.

In many countries, if we try to do something without the correct license to do it, we might have to pay the fine or go to prison.

Another kind of license is the letter from the person or the company, authorizing another person or company who receives it, to have or use the copy of something ay have created, such as the computer software application, the picture, or the song.
