@George Orwell III: With regards your stone meet glass house speech expressed elsewhere recently, if I interpret this correctly then thank you for a most handsome offer. However I have put a reasonable amount of thought into this (possibly not all expressed directly at yourself) and come to the conclusion the advantages of not being part of the übermench dream marginally outweigh acceptance.

  1. I have experienced heights of operational authority far far in excess of these in professional life. In comparison this is pretty dull stuff. Not engaged.
  2. I (briefly) undertook the rôle once before and did not consider the transition at all worthwhile.
  3. If I wanted to play the vandalism policemen I'd fire up an old copy of "Pong." Not grabbed here either.
  4. By indulging in the discipline of cornering, engaging and convincing an extant sysop an extra level of review is automatically attained without the risks attendant upon "shooting from the hip."
  5. Lack of ability to review deleted content. Prurient curiosity aside, this is not really a major impediment. From my perspective this is the only downside and not worth the stone/glass house transition.
  6. Certain figures in current authority would more happily slit their own wrists before… I do not need to complete this do I?

So in case you have not got the point yet, thanks again for the expression of faith but this bunny is not the bunny you are looking for. AuFCL (talk) 22:32, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
