I teach English at the United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain. My students are low-intermediate. I tried using a Wikipedia text about a subject that they are interested in--automobiles--and it was a disaster because they couldn't follow the language. It was my fault for not editing it for them, so the next time I taught, I revised the article heavily and the results were somewhat better.
