The vertical dashed line indicates the current magnitude required to cancel the shock-compressed interplanetary magnetic field. The various curves shown are labelled with ratio H/r0 of scale height to planetary radius and the percentage of He upper limit corresponding to 107 cm-3 at 200 km altitude. Above 300 km H/r0 should be 0.06 Standoff altitudes are given at subsolar point.
