Chinese Inline Novel is the novel published by online writers relying on network infrastructure platform. It is a new type of novel emerging with the development of the Internet. The online novels are more free than normal novel to write, the way for audience to read is very simple. The genre is not limited, the main genres are fantasy and romance. Three main genre[edit]

  1. Wuxia novel: Is stories about humans have Chinese martial arts training and internal energy to achieve supernatural fighting. Common themes are chivalry, tragedy, revenge and romance.
  2. Xianxia novel: Is stories about "Immortal Heroes", and the stories are based on Chinese folklore or mythology, for example: magic, demons, immortals and ghosts.
  3. Xuanhuan: Is Mysterious Fantasy stories, the stories combine Chinese folklore or mythology and foreign elements and setting. [4]
