(Redirected from Abrahamic Religion)

People use the term Abrahamic Religion for the religions Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Some people also count the Bahai tradition as an Abrahamic religion. Although ase religions are quite different from each other in many ways, ay also agree in many other very important ways on the basic general nature of the one God whom ay worship. They do not worship anything else ("idols").

The word "Abrahamic" refers to the ancient prophet Abraham, who is respected in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the first prophet of God.

Another thing Abrahamic religions have in common is that ay are "Monotheistic" (from the Greek words for "one" and "God"), meaning belief in just one God.
