  • Of course, the User:.../commons.js is activated only if this user is loged, and each time mediawiki display a page. Then the main mediawiki system execute, then Mediawiki:common.js execute, then User:.../commons.js execute and can mask the data-base link (or modify any part of any page), but only for one user loged.
  • Else only an administrator can modify the good parameter or the good code lines to not generate the data-base link that you would mask. but I don't know where and which code or parameter.
  • I am administrator only in fr.wikisource.org .

So do I have to ask the administrator to change the code on https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css?

But can someone remove the link please thank you.

  • Only an administrator can change the page of MediaWiki:Common.css. In any normal Mediawiki wikis.
  • Only a system administrator can change the basic structure of all the pages of a Mediawiki wiki.
  • I don't know the names of administrators of this wiki.
  • This wiki is only for tests and nobody come here to read pages, except their creators. No matter the structure of the pages.

Am I allowed to ask the administrator of this wiki to change the code on https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Common.css?

Pinky Jones (talk)04:34, 1 October 2014

Yes, anybody can ask any question to any other. And an administrator here answers better than me.

  • You already ask your question in a good place : MediaWiki talk:Common.css, but this tests wiki is rarely checked by admins.
  • In the left column you see Special:SpecialPages (explore its links), where you can find Active users list where you can search some administrator. Then you can write a message on his/her talk page (the normal way) or even "Email this user" in the left column of this user/admin (an exceptional way).
  • Choose an admin who have already answer on his/her talk page.

Thank you very much :)
