Peace

Template:Unsimple Peace is the state of quiet or harmony, or the state without fights or wars. In this sense, peace within and among states is the goal of many people and organisations. An example of an organization whose goal includes peace and is involved in trying to keep everyone peaceful is the United Nations. Peace can be voluntary, but can also be forced.

Martin Luther King Jr. wrote in the letter he sent from the Birmingham jail that, "True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice."
