Summary

Description
English:
Français : Publicité de 1879 pour l'opérette de Gilbert et Sullivan HMS Pinafore.
English: 1879 Woodblock-print advertisement for an American production of H.M.S. Pinafore, housed at the Library of Congress. The Library of Congress site says that they are D'Oyly Carte Opera Company productions (see here), but that seems dubious, since Carte's name does not appear on the poster, and he would have been eager to distinguish his production (December 1879) from the many unauthorised productions

As Adam lives in Britain, which makes it incredibly easy to acquire copyright in his works, he grants, if needed, an irrevokable license to use this work however you see fit. He requests attribution where possible, and realises that "where possible" means that that request is not legally enforcable. Adam Cuerden (talk) 15:44, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
